I have dedicated nearly 9 years to animal rescue, primarily on cats. My journey in this field has been complemented by running my own pet-sitting business, where I provided home visits and, sometimes, overnight stays with dogs. My extensive experience in rescue includes roles on event committees, medical teams, adoption teams, and active participation in Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives. Many nights were spent with warm cups of coffee, patiently watching as cats entered humane traps so they could be spayed or neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations.
Throughout my time in rescue, I have fostered over 300 animals, including mothers and their babies, bottle-fed infants, tiny kittens, sick cats, seniors, and more. Each animal represents a unique story, often having been abandoned, surrendered, or removed from difficult circumstances. The most rewarding aspect of this work is seeing these animals thrive in loving, new homes. While the journey can be long, the successful transformations make every challenging moment, sleepless night, and ounce of effort worthwhile.
